Month of Firsts

Mommy says March is a month of firsts. Check out what I've been doing lately!

First bite of peas...definitely did NOT like!

As the week went on I started to like them better.

Mommy was so proud of herself; she made me butternut squash. Here's my first, well by the looks of my face maybe the second or third, bite of her delicious meal.

Happy half birthday to me...I'm 6 months old!!

My first tooth came in so now I'm chewing on EVERYTHING!

I just rolled over from my back to my belly for the first time!

Now I can get up on my knees and slide backwards. If I could only figure out how to go forwards I would be in great shape!

This has nothing to do with a first (I promise it is not my first bath!); Mommy just thought I looked cute.

Jan. and Feb. Photos

Once Mommy went back to work and grad school in January she hasn't been quite as good about updating my blog; awful is probably a better descriptor of her recent blogging activity :-) The following is a glimpse of my life in the last two months. I'm starting to sit up very well and I 'm trying to crawl; if I could only figure out how to move my arms, I'd be off and running (eh, crawling). I've also started solids, which you will see below that I love (words dripping with sarcasm).

First time in my highchair! Rice cereal didn't sit very well with me so a few weeks later we made the switch to Oatmeal, which is much better on my belly!


Tummy time in January consisted of a few seconds on my belly and then rolling to my back.


Daddy is so fun to play with!


So I've started flipping around in my crib at night. My head always ends up at the end of my crib, which defeats the purpose of my elevated mattress. Instead of my head being elevated, to help my reflux, my feet are now elevated.


My favorite new toy is the exersaucer.


My baptism on February 8, 2009. Thank you to all my family who came to share in my special day as well as Mr. Michael, Mrs. Becca, and my best friend Michael.

Tummy time in February! I'm starting to get up on my knees but my arms can't figure out what they are supposed to do in order to crawl.

This is what we call in the business, a BIG stink!

The Gautier Christmas

This is actually a picture from before Christmas that Mommy really likes so she thought she would include it here...

Merry Christmas! The Gautier Christmas was celebrated a couple of days after Christmas this year. Gran and Poppie came to my house to open presents.

Gran and Poppie gave me a cool Christmas outfit; however, it was a bit too hot for it. Mommy promises to take a picture of me in it once the weather turns cold again!

I like playing "elevator" with Poppie. I liked it best when it got stuck at the top. Gran has a fun picture of it; Mommy will add it here soon.

I love my new monkey! Gran says I will love it even more in a few months.

Cousin Lauren

Mommy's Cousin Lauren came to visit me all the way from Maryland! She and Mommy had such fun catching up :-)

The Ashley Christmas

We went to South Georgia to Papa and GiGi's house. Everybody was there...Papa, GiGi, Daddy, Mommy, Uncle Eric, Aunt Annette, Nathan, Naomi, and Aunt Ali!

GiGi and Papa came to visit me! They let Mommy and Daddy go on their first date since I've been born. They love GiGi and Papa :-)

Santa and I had a nice talk while Mommy and Daddy tried to get me to smile. I was too interested in all the Christmas lights to smile for them!!
